Beverly Mae (Black) Dunning died peacefully at home on Aug. 10, 2021, at the age of 82. After winning a battle with cancer she succumbed to the side effects of treatment. Present with her when she passed was her husband and her daughter.
Bev was born on June 4, 1939, to Chester Black and Clara (Canterbury) Blake. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lorry Dunning; children Gayle Mooney, Kevin Dunning and his wife Carri, and David Dunning and his wife Sarah; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and half-sister Renee Cullen. She is preceded by her parents and sister, Norma Purcell.
A memorial to honor and celebrate Bev’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the First Baptist Church of Davis, 38141 Russell Boulevard in Davis. Prior to the service, a presentation of photographs from her life will be shown, as her loved ones gather, so feel free to arrive early.
A graveside service, for all who wish to attend, will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery, 2023 Highway 99 in Gridley.
