Coachella 2022: Special guests and how the festival got very emo on Saturday of Weekend 2?

View Original Notice ? Coachella 2022: Special guests and how the festival got very emo on Saturday of Weekend 2?

Saturday was nothing if not eventful at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Not only was there a whole lot of emo going on, there was also plenty of news.

Billie Eilish topped Saturday night again with a powerful set, but this week she brought a different special guest. The crowd was ecstatic to see Hayley Williams of emo pop punk band Paramore take the stage with Eilish for an acoustic version of Paramore’s 2007 hit “Misery Business” in the middle of the set, with fans in the field singing along loudly. Williams also came back out for Eilish’s set-closing “Happier Than Ever.”

But the main stage wasn’t the only place to feel all of the feelings. Emo Nite returned to the Sahara Tent and this weekend brought along 3OH!3 and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. Reporter Charlie Vargas caught up with Shaddix, who performed “Last Resort” at Emo Nite’s set, to talk about Papa Roach’s emo connection and how the band ended up working on new music in Temecula during the pandemic.

We’ve been keeping a list of some of the guest stars and celebrities out at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

You have to see the photos of all the performers we saw on Saturday, including Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and the live U.S. debut of K-pop group Aespa during 88rising’s Saturday showcase.

One act officially called it quits at Coachella on Saturday. Brockhampton played a bunch of hits while wearing matching letterman jackets that read “All Good Things Must Come to an End” for a final performance in the Sahara Tent and here’s how fans reacted.

But for one Southern California teen, Coachella marked the beginning of their career. 17-year-old Moore Kismet performed at the festival in the Do Lab on Friday night and then spent Saturday night at their prom.

Elsewhere on the grounds, fans celebrated Record Store Day at the Coachella pop-up record store.
