The lineup includes well-known names in the dance music scene such as DJ Harvey, Super Flu, Omar-S and Carl Craig.

Desert Hearts, which was previously held at Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, wasn’t held in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

And its return also marks the 10-year anniversary of the inaugural festival, which was held in a patch of isolated Mojave Desert land in 2012.

The festival has also branched out into a record label and a DJ collective under the Desert Hearts name that has put on about 600 shows in the U.S. and all over the world in places such as Australia, Brazil, Germany and the United Arab Emirates.

Besides the dancing also slated for the weekend are art installations, fashion shows and comedy and spoken word performances at a speakeasy named Tonight’s Tavern.
