ST. PAUL, Minn. — Ryan Hartman scored with 12.1 seconds left in overtime and the Minnesota Wild took a 4-3 victory from the Ducks on Saturday at Xcel Energy Center. The Ducks finished their four-game trip with a 1-2-1 record.

The Ducks and Wild went to the third period deadlocked at 3-3. Rickard Rakell scored twice and Troy Terry once for the Ducks. Brandon Duhaime, Jared Spurgeon and Jon Merrill countered for the Wild. The Ducks led 1-0, trailed 2-1 and led 3-2 before they were caught 3-3.

Ryan Getzlaf had two assists to move within two points of Teemu Selanne’s franchise record of 988 points. The second of Rakell’s goals came while the Ducks were on a power play in the opening minutes of the second period, his fourth goal in six games to start 2021-22.

Merrill’s goal was challenged for offside. After a lengthy video replay, the challenge was denied, the goal was upheld and the Wild had tied the score 3-3 at 11:56 of the second. The Ducks were hemmed in after Nicolas Deslauriers blocked a shot and couldn’t reach the bench.

Neither team scored in the third period and the game went to OT.
