Feb. 10, 1942 — October 29, 2021

Chad was born on Feb. 10, 1942, in Santa Monica to the late Herbert Langdon and Virginia Eberle Langdon.

The family relocated to Chico  when Chad was 2 years old. He attended Chico schools until his junior year, when he and his family went to Tripoli, Libya, for one year. Chad attended school at Wheelus Air Force Base while there. Chad continued to remain in contact with many of his Wheelus classmates.

Chad attended Chico State where he met his future wife, Amy. Chad and Amy moved to Davis in 1965, where Chad was hired as a civil engineer with the city of Davis. Later, he went into private practice in Sacramento, where he continued to work until the end of his life.

Chad lost his valiant fight against cancer at the UC Davis Medical Center on Oct. 29, 2021.

Chad is survived by Amy, his wife of 57 years, and his beloved son, David of Eugene, Ore.

Per Chad’s wishes, there will be no service.

Should you wish to make a donation in Chad’s name, please feel free to do so to UC Davis Hospice, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, or a charity of your choice.
