Joseph Nolan Ezra

Joe, 53 of Union City, CA, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Michelle Ezra. Joe was survived by his daughter Ashley (previous marriage) grandson Christian, parents Nolan and Jackie Ezra, brother Robert Ezra, sister Mary Ezra, brother-in-law Yeuk Yuan, 3 nieces and one nephew.

Joe was born on May 1st, 1964 in Vietnam. He was brought to the United States in 1975 and grew up in Fremont, CA. He graduated in the class of 1983 from John F. Kennedy High School where he participated in various clubs and sports teams including wrestling, and varsity football throughout his high school career. After high school he went on to become an electrical foreman and a part of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union, working various jobs in building and construction. He married his first wife in 1986 and his daughter, Ashley, was born in the summer of 1988. After his divorce, he married Michelle Ezra in 1992. In October of 2011 he was given a new best friend, his grandson, Christian. Joe was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, camping, long road trips, and being outside. He spent most weekends with his grandson watching movies, swimming, going on walks and doing whatever Christian had in mind. He had many ups and downs throughout his life but he always saw the good in everything. Joe was very generous to those around him, and would help friends and family in any way that he could. He never hesitated to give someone in need the shirt that was on his back if that was all that he could offer. His life may have ended at a young age but through the bad times and the good it was full of family, friends, love and laughter.
