Josephine Nunez (Martinez) age 88 a lifelong resident of Oxnard,California. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 1, 2023.
Born on March 5, 1934, to parents Nicholas and Rosario Martinez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Eddie Nunez, and her brother Mark Martinez. Josie graduated from Oxnard High School in 1953. She worked at Oxnard School District for 35 years. She loved cooking and baking. Going camping with family and friends. Taking trips to Las Vegas with her husband. She is survived by her children Nick (Lisa) Jack (Luz) Charlie, Eric and Marina (Pete).
Grandchildren Nicholas (Patty), Victoria (Steven), Natalie, Zack (Maddie) Charles, Chris and Danielle.
Great grandchildren Sloane and Amelia.
She is also survived by her sister Eva Urango and sister-in-law Carmen Martinez. Special thanks to caregiver Marie Bernal.
