View Original Notice ? Stagecoach 2022: Axl Rose joins Carrie Underwood for performance on Mane Stage
When Carrie Underwood arrived on stage at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival to the opening notes of Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle,” did her fans expect that Axl Rose would be joining her 16 songs later?
They should have. Rose arrived on stage to a thunderous roar from the crowd during “Sweet Child O’ Mine” after Underwood performed the first verse in a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt.
“Welcome to the greatest night of my life,” Underwood yelled. “Give it up for Axl Rose!”
He took the second verse from there. The duo also performed “Paradise City.” Both of the hits are off the band’s 1987 debut album, “Appetite for Destruction.”

Rose is no stranger to the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Guns N’ Roses headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival there in 2016.

Underwood has performed “Paradise City” many times in concert, including her first appearance at Stagecoach back in 2008. She is a big fan of Guns N’ Roses.
